Kristen Shaner

Kristen Leigh Shaner, 26, of Frederick, MD passed away Wednesday March 27, 2019 while surrounded by family and friends at home. She was born on November 13, 1992 in Frederick, Maryland.

An early life of trips to amusement parks and the beach with family preceded a 2010 graduation from Brunswick High School. Kristen attended York College and received a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology. After college, she spent her career working as a radiologic technician at Westview Urgent Care. An evening rendezvous in Baker Park led to a loving marriage with her husband, Donald Shaner. Together they enjoyed fishing trips, decorating and renovating their home, and spending time with family. She was an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles baseball and Washington Capitals hockey teams.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Shaner of Frederick, MD; mother Phyllis Weddle and brother Casey Weddle of Knoxville, MD; sister Melanie Weddle of Frederick, MD; brother Andrew Weddle of Lancaster, CA; and many other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Charles ‘Eddie’ Weddle.

The family will receive friends on Sunday March 31st, 2019 from 4PM to 6PM at Stauffer Funeral Home in Frederick, MD. A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday April 1st, 2019 at 10AM at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick, MD.
