Mr. Konstantine A. Kontos, 52, of Silver Spring, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at his home. He was the loving husband of 21 years to Elizabeth Kontos and the beloved son of Mrs. Theoni Alex Kontos and the late Mr. Alex Kontos of Middletown.
Born February 11, 1962 in Washington, DC, Konstantine was a devoted husband and father, as well as a loving brother and son. Our hearts are broken as the heavens rejoice.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his four beautiful children, Aleko, Zoey, Theoni, and Eleni Kontos; his siblings, Steve (Kiki) Kontos, Theodora Kontos Chahalis; Father Christ (Michele) Kontos; and Joana (John) Kontos Tsinonis; and several nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
Funeral arrangements are as follows: Saturday, March 22, 2014 beginning at 9 a.m. with Divine Liturgy followed by the Funeral service at 10 am at Sts Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 920 W. Seventh Street, Frederick. Officiating Hierarch is His Eminence Metropolitan Evangelos of New Jersey.
Interment will follow at the St. Nektarios Monastery Cemetery in Emmitsburg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Monastery, 8704 Hampton Valley Road, Emmitsburg, MD 21727.
