Mr. Kimble Carl Lee, 48, of Martinsburg, WV died on Thursday January 24, 2019 in his home.
Born June 17, 1970 in Baltimore, MD, he was the third child born from the union of Betty Claybon Lee and the late Martin William Lee, Sr.
Kimble graduated from South Carroll High School in Sykesville, MD in 1988. Immediately following high school, Kimble joined the United States Air Force. During his time in active duty, he traveled the world (tours including South Korea and Germany), earned an Associates degree in Aerospace Engineering, completed many trainings, and earned many awards, ribbons, and badges. He served a tour in Kuwait during the Desert Storm War. Kimble was discharged from the United Sates Air Force in 1999 after more than 10 years of service with a primary specialty in Aerospace Ground Equipment. His highest rank was Staff Sergeant. Kimble sustained a serious back injury while on active duty, making him a Disabled Veteran upon discharge.
After returning to civilian life, Kimble earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts and, later, he also earned many credits towards a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Hood College in Frederick, MD. He worked for several employers including Varian Semi-Conductors Associates, Nutra Max Products, Inc., and LeHigh Cement Company. He truly loved his last position of nine years as a Regional Local Veterans’ Employment Representative with the State of MD Department of Labor, Licensing, & Regulation, Division of Workforce Development and Adult Learning. Kimble was a proud veteran and was happy to serve other veterans through his work.
Kimble was never married and had no children. However, he was a proud “father” to his cat, Outlaw, for 18 years before Outlaw passed. Kimble loved his family and his many friends. He was known for his kind, gentle, and generous spirit. His personality was infectious; he was well liked by most people who knew him. Kimble liked to eat, attend family functions, socialize with friends, and go to the movies. He also liked watching football and was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. Kimble was a lifetime member of the NAACP. Kimble did not belong to a church, but attended church occasionally and had a personal relationship with the Lord.
In addition to his mother, Betty Claybon Lee, he is survived by two brothers, Larry Orem (The Honorable Vicky Ivory-Orem) of Upper Marlboro and Martin Lee, Jr. (Dr. Vanessa Lee) Upper Marlboro, and two sisters, Cheryl Lee Powell (Romonico) of Lawrenceville, GA; and Dr. Beth Lee Crawford (Krishna Ramson) of Bowie, MD; two nephews, Ihsan Orem (Victoria) and Krishna Ramson, II; four nieces, Tanika Lee, Najeedha Suber; Priya Ramson, and Shanta Ramson; one great-nephew, Carter Lee and three great-nieces, Tori Lee, Tamia Lee, and Naima Orem; and a host of cousins and friends.
