Kim M. Lawson, 40, of Frederick, Maryland, loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, mother, and friend to all, passed away on Tuesday morning, December 30, 2015, at the Washington Hospital Center.
Born on December 16, 1974, in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of Bernice (Bizzell) Lawson of Frederick, Maryland and Alvin Lawson of Melbourne, Florida.
Kim was a 1993 graduate of Friendly High School in Ft. Washington, Maryland.
After graduation, Kim attended college in Atlanta, Georgia for Fashion Design.
Kim loved to live life to the fullest and was known for her vibrant soul. She will be fondly remembered for her love of fashion, traveling, hiking, and skating.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Keta Lawson-Davis and husband, Oral, of Frederick; her brother, Maurice Bizzell and wife, Lalitha, of Forestville, Maryland; her grandmother, Margaret Bizzell, of Temple Hills, Maryland; her aunts, Evelyn Bizzell of Grand Prairie, Texas, Jannifer DePass and husband, Keith, of Silver Spring, Maryland, Cicelyn Hylton of Palm Spring, Florida; and her uncles, Nelson Bizzell of Temple Hills, Maryland and Ashford "Sonny" Lawson of Miami, Florida. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
She is predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Alfonzo Bizzell; and her paternal grandparents, Noel and Doris Lawson.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at Christian Life Center, 3154 Green Valley Road, Ijamsville, MD 21754. Pastor Ron Libby will officiate. Final-resting place ceremonies will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Germantown, MD.
Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
