Kevin Slifer

Kevin A. Slifer, 50, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed from this life on Friday, April 24, 2015.
Born on June 20, 1964, in Hagerstown, he is the son of Shirley M. (Palmer) Slifer of Hagerstown, and the late Paul H. Slifer.
Kevin was a 1982 graduate from Boonsboro High School.
He was employed for over 20 years as a machinist at Manitowoc in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania.
Kevin had previously attended church at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Rohrersville, Maryland.
Kevin loved the outdoors and especially animals. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he also enjoyed raising beagles. He had an interest in civil war relics, and enjoyed the opportunity to go metal detecting whenever time allowed.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Brenden P. Slifer and wife Deborah of Keedysville, Maryland, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will also be deeply missed by his faithful beagle companion, Fred.
Funeral services will be held privately by the family.
