Kenneth Eugene Bowers, Sr.

July 17, 1944 — April 17, 2010

Mr. Kenneth Eugene Bowers, Sr., 65, of Jefferson, died on Saturday, April 17th, 2010 at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Baltimore.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Dianne(Kinna) Bowers.

Born on July 17th, 1944 in Frederick he was the son of the late Glenn F. Bowers, Jr. And Helen L. ( Smith ) Bowers.

Mr. Bowers was a life long and very active member of Petersville Lutheran Chapel
And served on the church council. An accomplished welder he was the proprietor of Bowers Welding of Jefferson, a trade handed down to him from his father. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard of Maryland, having served six years. He enjoyed NASCAR races and the Washington Redskins.

Surviving beside his wife are two sons; Kenneth E. Bowers, Jr. And wife Mary Lou of Boonsboro, Kelly G. Bowers and wife Robin of Jefferson, four grandchildren; Gabrielle, Schuyler, Aidan and Lander Bowers, two sisters; Barbara Wenschhof, Patsy Eavey, a sister-in-law Joyce Shelmet, nephew Matthew Eavey, niece Jessica Shelmet. And other family members; Amber Phillips, Kyle James, Sr. And Kyle James, Jr.

Visitation: Family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Ave., Brunswick on Wednesday April 21st, from 2:00 to 400 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Services: Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. With Rev. Muriel R. Heichler officiating. Interment in St. Mark's Church Cemetery.
