Mr. Kenneth Martin Warren Fox of Middletown died on November 30, 2011, following a courageous battle with cancer. . He was the husband of Billie Zoe Campbell, his loving wife of 34 years who predeceased him on December 17, 2008. - . .... _ J '"

Born October 24, 1944 in Frederick, Maryland, he was the son of the late Kenneth Walter Fox and Ida Marie Rothenhoefer. He was a builder from 1973 to 1987. He received several awards as a builder including the Distinguished Builder Award in 1979, the Energy Efficient Home Award from Potomac Edison in 1979 and the Gold Award from Thermax Sheathing in 1980. Ken also served honorably in the U.S Navy. Kenny was an avid fisherman who not only enjoyed fishing with family and friends but also was one of the primary organizers of the Bassbusters and Hooksetters Bass Fishing Clubs which focused on the youth of the community. He remained active as President and event director from 1987 to 1991 . During this period, under his direction the club won both the Eastern Outstanding Overall Junior Club Award in 1988 and 1989 and the Outstanding Overall National Junior Club Award from the Bass Federation in 1988 and 1989. He was awarded the Maryland BASS Federation Certificate of Recognition for his role as Junior Bass Chairman for 3 consecutive years 1988- 1990. He also loved hunting, golfing, camping and Nascar . His favorite driver was Kyle Busch . Kenny was also a member of the Duquesne Drag Team. .

Kenny cared for his wife Billie during her long and brave struggle with diabetes . His dedication to his wife and continual care allowed her to enjoy many more years with family and friends. They enjoyed eating out and taking trips. Their most memorable trips were Skyline Drive, Disney World, Ocean City, Branson, Missouri and Niagara Falls.

Surviving are two children; Kenneth W. Fox of Middletown and Steve M. Fox and wife Krissy of Frederick; one sister Virginia Fox Burner and husband John Burner of Frederick; one aunt Betty Craver and husband Calvin . He is also survived by his best, devoted and faithful friends of 26 years, Jim and Joy Deater of Frederick. He will also be missed by devoted and faithful friends, Thomas Pratt, Monrovia , Donnie Stevens of Frederick and Terry Taylor of Virginia . His good friend Wayne Snurr predeceased him. A very special baby, Jaelyn Deater became his honorary granddaughter and during his illness brought
him joy and love .
Viewing will be held at the Stauffer Funeral Home on Oppossumtown Pike on Sunday, December 4,
from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p . m. The funeral will be held on Monday, December 5, at 11:00 am at the Stauffer Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harry C . Cole presiding.
Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: Community Foundation of Frederick, Visual Arts,  312 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701
