Kenneth M. Hubbard

Kenneth M. Hubbard Sr., 84, of Thurmont, Maryland, went to be with Christ on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Frederick Health Hospital. He was the husband of Ruth Hubbard. They shared 65 years of marriage together.

Born October 2, 1939, he was the son of the late Raymond and Alta Hubbard. He attended Frederick High School. Throughout his life, Kenneth worked as a farmer, truck driver, and maintenance worker at Fort Detrick. He also enjoyed working at the Great Frederick Fair every fall. He was a member of Frederick Church of the Brethren and the Lewiston Ruritan Club. He also served on the Utica Cemetery Board. He enjoyed helping with the Ruritan Club chicken barbecues and various butcherings with local organizations. 

He will be remembered as a loving husband and father. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Ruth; and two sons, Kenneth Jr. and daughter Jacqueline; and Jeffrey and wife Patti and sons Jeffrey Jr., Jonathan, Joshua, and Joseph. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Alta; and sisters, Barbara Stottlemyer, Delores Manahan, Evelyn Holt, and Mary Hill. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702 from 6:00 p.m- 8:00 p.m.

 The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Frederick Church of the Brethren at 11:00 AM with Internment at Resthaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the Dementia Society of America.
