Kenneth Allen Hood

Kenneth Allen Hood, 75, of Myersville, passed from this life on Friday, November 4, 2022 at his home.

Born on September 28, 1947, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Howard Donald and Eleanor Mae Moxley Hood.

Kenneth owned and operated Hood's Electric Company before his outstanding career as an Electrician and HVAC Technician for Frederick County Schools, retiring after more than 30 years of service. He was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church in Mt. Airy. 

Kenneth enjoyed traveling, tractor pulling in his earlier years, gardening, but most of all his John Deere tractors. He also enjoyed the history of the U.S. and loved talking about his travels.

Surviving are his two sons: Brian Hood and wife Kelly and Vance Hood and wife Cathy; four grandchildren: Randy, Jesse, Cody and Brooke; five great grandchildren: Jordyn, Kiley, Zoey, Jeremy and Ryder; siblings: D. Wayne Hood and wife Mary of Las Vegas,, Darlene Clay and husband Ronnie of Middletown and Larry Hood and wife Charmaine of Mt. Airy; as well as his dear friend, Mary Toms and step daughter, Tammy Kline and family.

Services and interment will be private.
