Kenneth G Hollar (59), of New Market, Maryland, formerly of Wheaton, Maryland, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Kenny was a loving, kind, attentive husband to Joy Donnelly Hollar.
He was the son of the late Everett Jr and Phyllis A (Thompson) Hollar. He was a loving brother to Everett L. Hollar, III (Tami), the late Martha Potter (late Carl), Stephen, Janet Colt (late Gary), Becky Wallace (Bill), and Jerry (Kathy fondly known as Kat to Ken). Ken took great pride in all his 18 nieces and nephews milestones, accomplishments and life delights. He also enjoyed the innocence, laughter and antics of his 13 great nieces and nephews. Many dear relatives and friends will miss Ken.
Ken was a 1976 graduate of Albert Einstein High School, Kensington, MD. Ken enjoyed nature and was fortunate to acquire a career as a Land Survey Party Chief, allowing him to spend his time in the great outdoors. Ken worked with many different Surveying companies throughout the DC area. His last place of employment was with Triad Engineering in Hagerstown, MD. They were extremely supportive of Ken and Joy through this difficult time.
Ken has always enjoyed the freedom his beloved Harley-Davidson allowed as he traveled the open road up and down the East Coast and across the Country to Sturgis. He found a refreshing renewal with the wind in his face and the sun to his back, usually with Joy along for the ride.
This difficult journey Ken and Joy travelled together was eased by the compassion, kindness and care given by Dr. Bazzi and his AMAZING staff.
