Mr. Kenneth Eugene Grimes, 83, of Thurmont, MD, died Sunday, May 4, 2013 at the VA Center, Martinsburg, WV.
Born August 24, 1930 in Thurmont, he was the son of the late Myrtle Domer Grimes.
Mr. Grimes served his County in the US Army. He retired in 1993, after 36 years of employment with Schildt Construction Co., Inc., Thurmont, MD. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending much of his free time hiking in the Catoctin Mountains.
Ken has no immediate family surviving. He was preceded in death by four brothers: John, Richard, Paul and Charles Grimes and one sister Shirley Ann Baker.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, May 9, at Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont.
