Kenneth Donahoe
March 19, 1939 — March 27, 2013
Mr. Kenneth E. Donahoe, 74 of Frederick, MD., passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Ida Hill Donahoe, his wife of 49 ½ years.
Born March 19, 1939 in Beans Cove, PA, he was the son of the late George Thomas and Vernelda Bennett Donahoe.
Mr. Donahoe was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #371. He was owner/operator of Donahoe Drywall.
Kenneth enjoyed spending time with his family, cane making, teaching his grandchildren to garden, and the Dallas Cowboys.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children Beverly Lawson and partner Craig Palen of Middletown and Dewayne Allen and wife Gina of Jefferson, grandchildren Stephanie Renee Lawson, Hayley Rianna Lawson, Hunter Dewayne Donahoe and Abigail Leigh Donahoe, his siblings Grover T. Donahoe and wife Doris, Rio Rancho, NM, Elmer Donahoe and wife Karen, NJ, Hillary “Smokey” Donahoe and wife Sharon, Centreville, PA, Richard Donahoe, IN, Carl Donahoe and wife Rita, Cumberland, MD, and Ronald Donahoe and wife Lawrence, SC, Mary Eleanor Ryan, Cumberland, MD, Eileen Hunter and husband James , Bedford, PA, and Barbara Fry of Hancock, MD. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother Roger Donahoe.
The family thanks Brenda Blank and Stacy Stream for their loving care to Kenneth and for all their love to the family, also a special thanks to the staff at Vindobona Nursing Home.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Monday, April 1, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where services will be held on Tuesday, April 2, at 11:00 am.
