Mr. Kenneth Marlowe Coulter, 86 of Knoxville, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Roberta (Bertie), his wife of 64 years.
Born March 14, 1925 in Yarrowsburg, Maryland he was the son of the late Edward and Blanche Coulter.
Kenneth retired from Washington Terminal after 36 years of service with Amtrak.
He was a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1136 and a member of the Moose Lodge #1582 both of Brunswick.
Kenneth loved to work on his cars in his garage in his spare time. He was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan and he enjoyed watching their games. He also enjoyed going to Denny’s Restaurant, hunting mushrooms, feeding the birds, fixing his tractors and feeding treats to his grand doggies.
In addition to his loving wife Roberta he is survived by his five daughters, Sharon (Cookie) Miller and husband Buck, Cheryl Staubs and significant other Robert Sterling, Nancy Coulter, Kim Sigler and significant other Mark Ahalt and Donna Coulter and significant other Mike Jennings, his grandchildren, Lisa Miller and significant other Bill Shuff, Michelle Staubs and significant other Blane Bidle and Kenneth Randall Staubs, a great grandchild, Taylor Miller, a brother, James Coulter and wife Elaine, sisters, Helen Horning, Pauline Coulter, a sister-in-law, Joann Coulter and a dear family friend, Rose Myers. He is also be remembered by his numerous niece and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Mae Coulter, brothers, Augustus and Ronald Coulter, his sisters, Rosalie Burger and Mildred Constable.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Ave., Brunswick on Sunday, October 23 from 2-4 and 7-9PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 24 at 1:00PM at the Brownsville Church of the Brethren, 1911 Rohrersville Rd., Brownsville with Rev. Alan Smith officiating.
Interment will be in the Brownsville Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
