Kenneth Cosens, Jr.

Kenneth "Kenny" Cosens, Jr. of Boonsboro, Maryland died on Wednesday, November 4, 2020  at the University of Maryland Medical Center.  Kenny was the son of the late Kenneth and Frances Cosens.

Kenny was a lifelong resident of the Boonsboro area.  He was a 1977 graduate of Boonsboro High School. He retired from the state of Maryland in 2012.   He enjoyed music, playing the drums, and singing with local bands.  He was most recently a member of Skweez Play and Made in the 80s, popular bands in the tri-state area.

Kenny is survived by his former wife, Linette Hutzell Cosens; his sister, Karen Talbert; his brother-in-law, Dennis Talbert; his niece, Michelle Talbert-Smith; and his nephew, Dennis R. Talbert.  He is also survived by extended family members and his canine companion, Kelsey.

Kenny was very private, but social.  He loved music, playing music, and providing the platform for others to enjoy live, local music.  He was also very talented with wood work, making some custom made pieces for family members. He adored his canine companions, especially his Chessie's.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The family will receive friends immediately following services on Wednesday at the funeral home. The funeral home will accept friends beginning at 4 p.m. on Wednesday. In true Kenny fashion, casual attire is welcomed.  Covid practices will be in place for visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday. Masks will be required.

Inurnment in the Mt. Lena United Methodist Church Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
