Kenneth Bussey

Kenneth M. Bussey, 78, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at  his residence.

Born on February 24, 1940, in Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Edward M. Bussey and Ruth  (Tully) Bussey.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Cecelia Bussey.

Kenneth proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the aircraft carrier The Independence.

He retired from IBM after 30 years and worked at the Chevy Chase Bank until his retirement in 2010.

Kenneth loved hunting, being outdoors but especially enjoyed time spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Kenneth B. Bussey and his wife Kandi and their children Adrianna, Liam and Mia and Peter J. Bussey and his wife Kasia and their children Joseph and Amelia; brother, Robert Bussey and his wife Virginia.

He is predeceased by his sister, Ruth Kady and brother, Edward Bussey.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 104 East Main Street in Thurmont, MD.

A celebration of Kenneth's life journey will take place at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church Hall, 103 North Church Street Thurmont, MD 21788.   Father Collin Poston will officiate.  Interment will be at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Catholic Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to Hospice of Frederick County.
