Kenneth Monroe Angleberger, 95, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Gloria Myers Angleberger.
Born on December 7, 1929, in Lewistown, MD, he was the son of the late W. Roy and Rheba (Summers) Angleberger.
Kenneth graduated from Frederick High School and proudly served as mortarman in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, receiving a Combat Infantry Medal. He was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Thurmont, V.F.W. Post #6658 in Emmitsburg, the Elks Lodge #684 in Frederick, MD, and the Sportsman Club in Thurmont. After 32 years, he retired from Moore Business Forms and started a courier company. He was a talented woodworker who enjoyed collecting, restoring, and refinishing antique furniture.
Kenneth is survived by two children: Neal Coty, his wife Holly, and Sue Warthen and her husband Robert. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kaitlin, Kyle, Campbell, and Mallory, as well as great-grandsons Glorian and Everon.
A celebration of life and private graveside service will be held later.
