Kay Deskins

Mrs. Kay E. Deskins, 83, of Frederick, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Edenton Retirement Center, Frederick.  She was the wife of the late William H. Deskins, who preceded her in death on Friday, July 6, 2012.  Born on January 14, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Leo Williams and Bea (Spangenburg) Williams of Waymart, PA.   She will be remembered always as a loving wife and mother, and a sweet lady with a beautiful smile to all who knew her.

Kay is survived by five children: Kim Slawter and her husband, Mike of Frederick, Jeff Deskins, Scott Deskins and his wife, Kathy of Frederick, Kelly Mathis and her husband, David of Mt. Airy, and Jamie Deskins and his wife Marie of San Antonio TX. , five granddaughters, Becky Rupp, Krisy Peyton, Stacy Simons, Jessica Mathis, and Lexie Mathis as well as four great-grandchildren, Alice and Leo Rupp , and Michael and William Peyton.

The family will receive friends from on Friday, September 4, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 11:00 am in the chapel of the funeral home.  Interment will be at Annunciation Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery in McSherrystown, PA.
