Katrinka Lord

January 28, 1955 — January 31, 2016

On January 31, 2016 at 2:35am, Katrinka Lord, 61, of Frederick, MD lost a 30-year plus struggle with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis.

The passing of Katrinka should be remembered as another step in the love story of woman of 28, Katrinka, and a man of 48, Bill, that met in Dallas, TX, married and created a wonderful life. Those who knew Katrinka and Bill were aware of the strong love that held this couple together. Instead of giving up, they continued to fight to make an acceptable life for their family. Not only was Katrinka Bill’s wife and partner for more than 30 years, Katrinka had a successful corporate life working for Minolta as a major account sales person. Later Bill and Katrinka started Prints that Work, a 3D fabric wall hanging that now hangs in houses from New York to S. Miami Beach. Unfortunately, the MS became so bad that they had to give up the business. During Katrinka struggles she never gave up and always looked forward to her next visit from her grandchildren. While MS destroyed her body, it never killed her spirit. Katrinka did not complain, no matter how bad the pain, she just looked forward to each moment she could spend with her family.

Katrinka is survived by:

Her mother, Pauline Moore; husband William H. Lord; daughters Mekeisha Mayhle; Heather Eader(Mike); step son Eric Lord(Karen); step daughter-in-law Maria Lord

11 Grand Children: Abigail, Liam, & Devin Mayhle; Taylor, Caitlin, & Zachary Eader; Ciera & Sabrina Lord; Emma, Victoria & Nicholas Lord

Sisters Teresa Elliott; Milly Burleson (Doug); Niece Jennifer Towers (Esther).

Step mother Blanca Moore

Preceded in Death by her father, Milton C. Moore & step son, Brian H. Lord.

She will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved her. We know we will all meet again in Heaven and know she will watch over us.

Katrinka’s final resting place will be Captiva Island, Florida, both Bill and Katrinka’s favorite vacation spot.
