Kathy Hopkins

Kathy May Hopkins, 66, of Mt. Airy, MD went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.
She was born April 1, 1952 in Olney, MD to Herbert and Violet Hopkins. Kathy was a beautiful soul with a sweet heart. She would do anything for anyone.
Kathy was raised in Woodbine and graduated from Glenelg High School in 1970. She earned an Associates of Arts degree from Howard Community College and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mercer University in Atlanta, GA.
She was an extremely hard worker and dedicated employee. Kathy received numerous awards and was recognized by her employers for bottom-line, logistical, project and administrative management.
Kathy was preceded in death by her loving father, Herbert. Kathy is survived by her mother, Violet; brothers, Kenneth and wife Debbie, Herbert and wife Dee; nephew, Shane Hopkins; niece, Holly Cyran, and husband Jeff; great-nephews, Conner, Elliott, and Jake; great-nieces, Amanda and Allison; uncle, George Wetzel and wife Anna; aunts, Margaret Baugher, Geneva Maiden, and Helen Wetzel-Lake; and numerous cousins who loved her dearly.
A private graveside service will be held for the family.
