Miss Kathy Diane Hewitt, 56, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed away suddenly, Saturday, August 18, 2012.
She was born August 11, 1956 the daughter of Stella Nunemaker and the late Charles C. Hewitt. Kathy was born and raised in Mountaindale where she resided with her sister Sharon until her death.
Kathy was employed, for 25 years, as a laundry technician for Charles River Lab. Her greatest joy in life was her love of dogs. She enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows, going out to eat and shopping.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sisters Sharon Droneburg and husband Kenneth, Sr. and Kimberly Beard and husband Michael of Thurmont, nephews Kenneth Droneburg, Jr., Steven Droneburg, Nicholas Droneburg and niece Amanda March and a great niece Mackenzie Droneburg. She will also be remembered by her special friend Abby Zanella. She was preceded in death by a brother Charles Michael Hewitt and her step-father James Nunemaker.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont on Wednesday, August 22, from 6 – 9 pm, where a service will be held at 7:00 pm
Interment will be private
In lieu of flowers donations can be expressed, in her memory, to the Frederick County Animal Shelter.
