Mrs. Kathryn Marea{Sayler} Beall, 91, of Thurmont, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Golden Living Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Roland Otto Beall. During her last years she reside at Heartfileds Assisted Living, Frederick.
Born on November 14, 1916 near Loys Station, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Florence
{Fisher} Sayler.
Mrs. Beall was a life long member of the Graceham Moravian Church serving the church in many capacities. She loved to crochet, quilt, sew, bake and raise flowers. For many years she volunteered at the Thurmont Senior Center and the Citizens Nursing Home.
Her many hours of service were recognized in 1993 when she was honored as being on of Frederick County's Most Beautiful People and in 1994 was honored by being selected for the Maryland Senior Citizens Hall of Fame. Earlier in life she worked at Claire Frock and Moore Business Forms.
Mrs. Beall is survived by her daughter Tana Kay of Woodbridge, VA, brothers;Roy Sayler and wife Vivian of Dallas, TX, Calvin Sayler and wife Ruth of Thurmont, David Sayler and wife Ruth of Thurmont, and sisters; Helen Eaves of Walkersville, MD and Marguerite Martin of Raleigh, NC.
Visitation: Family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home 104 E. Main St., Thurmont, on Wednesday, June 25th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., friends may call from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Services:
Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a..m. at the Graceham Moravian Church, 8231 A, Rocky Ridge Rd., Thurmont, MD 21788. with pastor Jeff Gehris officiating .
Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to services. Interment in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Graceham Moravian Church, the Roland Beall Memorial Fund.
