Kathryn Elizabeth (Netz) Norris, 92, formerly of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, January 12, 2014, at her home in Chapel Hill, Tennessee.
Born on December 31, 1921 in Boonsboro, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Lillian Hattie (Smith) Netz. Her husband, Paul H. Norris, Jr., preceded her in death in 1995.
Kathryn worked as a final inspector at the London Fog Manufacturing Plant in Boonsboro and also had served as the Boonsboro Town Registrar for 30 years. She was the Head Librarian at the Boonsboro branch of the Washington County Library for 29 years prior to her retirement.
She was a member of the Central United Brethren Church in Rohrersville, Maryland.
Mrs. Norris is survived by two daughters, Paula K. Donahue and husband Frank of Nolensville, Tennessee, and Sheila A. Peck and husband Garrette of Dunkirk, Maryland; three grandsons, J. Corey Donahue of Tampa, Florida, Colby Eglinton of Greenwood, Indiana, and Ryan Donahue of Smyrna, Tennessee; and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2014 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Rev. Victor Moon will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
