Kathryn Mahlandt

Mrs. Kathryn G. Mahlandt, 82, of Frederick died Friday, April 10, 2015 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Bill G. Mahlandt, who died on May 25, 2014.

Born December 8, 1932 in Moser, WV, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Elsie (Miller) Greenawalt.

Mrs. Mahlandt was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, camping, sewing and needle point. She was a longtime member of Evangelical Lutheran Church, having served on the church council.

Surviving are her children; daughters Karen L. Lewns (Wayne), and Gail A. Mahlandt (John Augustine); and sons, Karl E. Mahlandt (Lisa), and Bruce G. Mahlandt (Janice); grandchildren, Colin Klein (Esther), Brandy Klein, Christine Main, Michael Main, Sr. (Sandra), Madeline Augustine, Katherine Grant (Joe), Sarah Mahlandt, Elizabeth Mahlandt, Jonathan Mahlandt, Alexander Mahlandt, Jessica Myers and Meredith Myers; and great-grandchildren Noelle, Ava, Michael Jr., Gabriel and Lucas.

She was predeceased by a son, Mark W. Mahlandt; and her sister, Juanita M. Young.

Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, with Rev. Tim May officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
