Kathleen "Sherry" Huckeba, 76, of Frederick, MD passed away Friday, November 9, 2018.
Born October 29, 1942 at the Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C. she was the daughter of the late William Robert and Etta Elizabeth Josephine Thompson.
Sherry was married January 15, 1962, and had two children Wendy Marie Huckeba (Pam) and Heather Lynn Huckeba. She is also survived by her sister JoAnne Thompson (B.J.); niece Patricia Herbst (Dan); great nephew Jeremiah Herbst; great niece Sarah Steelman (Ben) and great-great nephew Cyrus Steelman.
Sherry worked as a secretary in the Eisenhower Executive Building next to the White House, Bureau of Standards and finished her working career at the Social Security Administration, retiring January 3, 2007. Sherry loved angels, white house ornaments and beaches. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 6-8PM. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 17 at the Washington National Cemetery, Suitland, MD at 11AM.
