Kathleen Boyer

Kathleen Virginia Boyer, 88, of Sharpsburg, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Charlotte's Home in Maugansville, Maryland.

Born on January 26, 1934, she lived her entire life in her family home in Sharpsburg, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Daisy (Gloss) Boyer.

Kathleen was a 1951 graduate of Boonsboro High School and a 1956 graduate of Shepherd College. She was a lifelong member of Christ Reformed United Church of Christ of Sharpsburg, where she was the organist for 50 plus years.  Kathleen also played the organ at Trinity Lutheran of Sharpsburg, Church of the Brethren, Sharpsburg, and St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Keedysville.  She loved her music and also enjoyed taking care of her cats.

She is survived by friends Richard W. Gross, Joseph Lyndell Clipp, Michelle Peterson and her neighbors Jacqueline Schwab and Clayton Herzog.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Owen William Boyer and Howard Earl Boyer.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, 117 W. Main St., Sharpsburg, MD at 11AM on Saturday, June 25, 2022.
