Karyn Lea Henley

Karyn Lea Henley of New Market, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at home.  Born on July 10, 1969 in Silver Spring, MD, she was the daughter of Edwin Henley, Jr. and Mabel Henley.  Karyn graduated from Linganore High School and was employed with the United States Postal Service for 30 years. We will forever miss her beautiful smile, humor and her generous caring and love she gave everyone.  She was free-spirted and enjoyed photography and traveling with family and friends.  In her school years, she played basketball for the school team as well as quarterback for the Linganore Bulldogs.  She was an avid football fan of the Washington Commanders.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Kimberly McTighe and Brian McTighe of Frederick; nephew, Shane McTighe and fiance’ Allison Shoff of Harrisburg, PA and niece, Meghan McTighe of Frederick and her beloved therapy dog, Chip.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 18 from 2 to 3 PM at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.  A memorial service will immediately follow at 3 PM.
