Karen A. (Ingram) Gish, 53, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the Washington County Hospital.
Born on August 27, 1956, in Hagerstown, Maryland, she is the daughter of Eyerley E. Ingram of Sharpsburg, Maryland and the late Joyce A. (Myers) Ingram.
Karen was a 1974 graduate from Boonsboro High School.
She was employed for 38 years as the Assistant Food Service Manager at Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village in Boonsboro.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Steven A Gish; one daughter, Shawntae R. and her husband Jamie L. Lewis of Boonsboro; one sister, Kathy Ingram of Hagerstown; two brothers, Michael Ingram of Shepherdstown, West Virginia and Lee Ingram, of Smithsburg, Maryland; and her father and mother-in-law, Dennis and Grace Wheeler of Martinsburg, West Virginia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by one brother, Mark Ingram.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at the Samples Manor Church of God, Harpers Ferry Road, Sharpsburg, Maryland. Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.
