Karen Sue Brining, 49, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 28, 2014; 17 years to the day that her mother preceded her in death.
Born on December 10, 1964, in Hagerstown, she is the daughter of Elvin W. Brining of Sharpsburg, Maryland, and the late Donna Elaine (Wolfinger) Brining.
Karen was a member of the Class of 1982 at Boonsboro High School. She was also a member of Beaver Creek Christian Church.
She will be deeply missed by her family who will always remember her friendly way and her love for her children.
In addition to her father, she is survived by three children, Jeffery L. Dayhoff, Jr., of Hagerstown, Jessica L. Romero, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Terry Reeder, Jr., of Fairplay, Maryland; two sisters, Patricia A. Ryder and husband Randy, of Hagerstown, and Donna E. Stevens of Greencastle, Pennsylvania; one brother, Timothy W. Brining and wife Michelle, of Kearneysville, West Virginia, and her former husband, Terry Reeder, Sr. of Fairplay. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and one great-niece and one great-nephew.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2014, with a funeral ceremony to be held at 5 p.m. at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Rev. J. Mark Curran will officiate.
Final resting place ceremonies will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Rose Hill Cemetery, 600 South Potomac Street in Hagerstown.
Memorial donations may be made to assist her children and defray the expenses of the funeral service to Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland, 21713.
