Born on March 29, 1978, in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of Ida Mae (Semler) Valentine and the late David Leslie Valentine.
Justin proudly served his country in the Army and National Guard, completing a tour in Korea and participating in Operation Iraqi Freedom. His commitment to his nation was mirrored in his later professional endeavors, as he joined the workforce at Staples and Dot Foods after his military service, where he continued to demonstrate a strong work ethic and perseverance.
An alumnus of Boonsboro High School, Justin maintained a curious spirit throughout his life that transcended his educational years. He was deeply engaged in various interests, particularly enjoying shooting pool at Starlite and building a collection of Magic The Gathering cards, books, and an ample array of dice. These hobbies brought him joy and connected him with friends who shared similar passions.
In addition to his wife and mother he is also survived by three step children: Destiny Giffin, Summer Giffin, and James Giffin, Jr. His family continued to grow with the arrival of his granddaughter, Autumn Rae Miller, who brought immense joy into his life. Justin will be remembered fondly by his brother, Jemal Valentine, and Jemal's partner, Hope Lorient. His memory also lives on through his nieces and nephew: Devon Valentine, Jazmin Valentine, Taylor Angle, and Tess Previti. Justin loved his family and friends very much and will be missed by many.
