June "June Bug" Marie (Saville) Vance, 64, of Keedysville, Maryland, passed from this life to the next on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.
Born on April 29, 1949, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, she is the daughter of Leona Saville of Keedysville and the late Hubert Oates Saville.
June was a 1967 graduate from Boonsboro High School.
She had formerly worked at London Fog in Boonsboro, Montgomery Wards in Hagerstown, and most recently was the owner and operator with her husband of the Deerview Home for the elderly in Keedysville.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 40 years, Leon "Jimmy" Vance; her daughter, Christina Droppleman of Falling Waters, West Virginia; her sister, Adlehide Utz of Falling Waters; and her brother, Steven Saville of Keedysville. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Rev. Joseph I. Donovan, III will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2013 at the funeral home.
