Mrs. June L. Utterback 90 of Brunswick, MD formerly of Knoxville, MD passed away peacefully on September 7, 2011 at Kline Hospice House, Mt. Airy.

She was the devoted wife of the late Oswald (Buddy) Utterback who died July 28, 2008.

Born April 26, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Clark and Lillian Price.

June was a previous member of the First United Methodist Church where she was a member for over 50 years and she was currently attending when able the Brownsville Church of the Brethren.

In her early years June worked at the A&P Grocery Store. After marriage to Buddy, they worked for the family business the Ideal Cleaners in Brunswick. June later became Director of the Learn and Play in Brunswick for 18 years.

June was very active in the Brunswick and Pleasant Valley Communities. She was a member of the Maryland Tract Homemakers for over 50 years. June worked as a chief election judge for the voting polls. For many years she volunteered at the Brunswick Museum and helped with the Brunswick Historic Commission.

June enjoyed talking about old times with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Darice Utterback of Hagerstown, Maryland, her brothers, Woody Price, Gary Price and Wayne Price.

June will be dearly missed by her dedicated friends Kay and Gary Cooper and her niece, Linda Ranneberger and husband Phil.

She is also survived by her numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Hun Price and Dick Price and her sister, Dot Caniford.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Ave., Brunswick on Saturday, September 10 from 6:00-8:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 2:00PM where the family will be present to receive friends one hour prior to service time. Pastor Alan Smith will officiate.

Interment will be in St. Mark’s Cemetery.
