June M. Trout

June M. Trout, 100, of Walkersville, Maryland, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Homewood at Crumland Farms, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the Late James G. Trout who died in 2012.

Born on June 17, 1923, in Yonkers, NY, she was the daughter of the late Phillip C. and Lena Rosenbauer Meon.

She was a 1945 graduate from the University of Rochester. A homemaker and loving wife and mother, June also was office manager of the family business, Trout Auctioneers retiring in 2020, but still went in to the office everyday until 2023.

She was a member of the Catoctin Club of Frederick.

June enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, knitting, playing bridge and spending time in Florida at their home during the winter months

She is survived by two children: Patricia T. Clem and husband Jeffery of Boynton Beach and Martha T. Strawsburg and husband Kenneth of Walkersville; her grandson, Matthew D. Strawsburg of Frederick; a niece Nancy Bulger and husband Chi of Cincinnati; as well as one great nephew and one great niece and two great-great nephews. She was  preceded in death by two sisters: Marjorie Harris, Jeannette Furcht and a sister-in-law Libby Trout.


The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD.

Interment will be private.
