Mrs. June Esther Scott, 80, of Frederick, MD passed Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born on March 10, 1938 to the late Calvin Page Brown and Marcelene J. Luby-Brown.
June grew up in Frederick County, MD and attended Lincoln High School. She was employed at Fedders/Rotorex Corporation where she retired after 20 years of service.
She is survived by her children, M. Tylise Jackson (Warren) of Florida, Sheila Enid Scott of Baltimore, Sirron Yarnet Brown of Oklahoma, James H. Scott, Jr. of Frederick, MD, Letty I. Scott of Germantown, MD, and Erica F. Cooke (Anthony) of Frederick, MD; eight grandchildren, Karima Johnson (Antonio) of Florida, Aisha Howard (George) of Florida, William Thornton III of Germantown, MD, Justin Brown (Tamra) of Arkansas, and Mark Randolph, Jr., Karin Scott, Katrice Scott, and Ayanna Cooke, all of Frederick, MD; and seven great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brother, Sylvester Heath and his wife Ruth Ann of Indianhead, MD; Mark Heath, nephew, Leslie Heath, niece; three aunts, Louise Luby-Johnson of Washington DC, Elizabeth Luby of Frederick, MD, Rachael Drafton of Georgia and one uncle Webster Brown of Pennsylvania; and numerous cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Althea D. Scott.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to services beginning at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Maryland 21702.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
