Julia Christine Hollinger Boller

January 5, 1918 — October 31, 2007


Julia Christine Hollinger Boller, wife of Clyde Boller, long-time resident of Mount Airy, passed on Wednesday, Oct. 31. She was most recently a resident of Northampton Manor Health Center, Frederick. She enjoyed living at Country Meadows, Frederick and was cared for by her daughter, Susan, in Rocky Ridge.

Mother of five, Julia was active in many capacities of her children's varied interests. She encouraged their participation in scouts, MYF, and 4-H. She was always eager to support the independence of her children. Julia was involved in Calvary Methodist Church, Mount Airy, including the United Methodist Women.

Married 65 years, she was a member of Garden Club and Homemakers, she enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, and many varied craft projects. Always an example, she was eager to explore new possibilities as an avid reader and much enjoyed crossword puzzles.

Julia, the daughter of Frank Harris and Alla Belle Huff Hollinger formerly of Littlestown, Pa., has now joined her brothers and sisters, Catherine, Paul, Jerre, Bernard, Arlene, Ethel, and Harold; leaving her affliction of alzheimer's. She is at last a free spirit. She is survived by her loving younger sister, Ruth Starry of Shippensburg, Pa.

In addition to her husband, she will be missed by her children Cynthia Kirby, Susan Boller, Christina Tsen, Thomas Boller, and Melissa Sadtler; son-in-law, Brian Sadtler; along with eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.



Visitation: The family will be receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m on Friday, Nov. 2, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Boulevard, Mount Airy.

Services: Burial service will be conducted by Ruth Fieldhouse, niece, at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Moravian Cemetery in Graceham immediately following the ceremony.

Pallbearers are grandsons Charles Tsen and Daniel Sadtler; granddaughters Stephanie Tsen, Karen Kirby, and Rachael Sadtler .

In lieu of flowers, Julia would be pleased for donations to a charity of your choice.
