Judy Louise Ramsburg, 42, of Thurmont died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from complications of diabetes.
Born on April 24, 1971 in Frederick, she was the loving daughter of Mehrle and Thelma Ramsburg of Thurmont.
Judy had been formerly employed at the Frederick Memorial Hospital cafeteria, Lohr's Family Restaurant and Jackson Hewitt Tax Service. She had been attending Frederick Community College and was studying communications and American Sign Language. She graduated from Governor Thomas Johnson High School in 1989.
Judy loved to laugh and enjoyed spending time with her friends. Her hobbies included making jewelry, playing pool, country line dancing, and spending time with friends at Denny's Restaurant.
Every year, she faithfully volunteered at the 50/50 booth at the Guardian Hose Carnival in Thurmont. She also enjoyed working to promote and raise money for Christmas Cash for Kids.
She was a member of Glade United Church of Christ in Walkersville. Just a few months ago, in a sweet conversation with her sister Ginny, Judy had come to understand and accept Jesus Christ as her Lord Savior.
Judy adored her nieces and nephew, and especially held a special fondness for her great-niece, Bailey.

Roop and husband, Samuel, all of Thurmont; three nieces, Julie Roop Tingue and husband, Eric, of Delevan, NY; Whitney Crist Blickenstaff and husband, Ryan, of Myersville; and Lauren Roop and fiancé, Jordan Berkhouse of Philadelphia, PA; a nephew, M. Jacob Roop and fiancée, Sarah Hammitt, of Wheaton, IL; and her very special great-niece, Bailey Elizabeth Tingue of Delevan, NY.
Judy was predeceased by her sister, Barbara J. Ramsburg in 1991, and a nephew, David A. Crist in 1987.
