Judith "Judy Stambaugh

Judith “Judy” Ann Stambaugh, 63, of Thurmont went to be with God and the Angels on Monday, November 4, 2013 in Hagerstown. Born March 6, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Evelyn Sharrer and John I. Sies. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Roy E. Stambaugh; 3 children, Ryan (Jessica), Chad (Jennifer), and Todd Stambaugh; and also by her pets and best friends Chico, Paco and Callie ";  Brother, John Sies; 7 Grandchildren. She was a Former Owner of Flowers by Roy, LTD.  Thurmont, MD. She was a Member of the Society of American Florist and inducted into the American Academy of Floriculture 1998. She was an FTD Master Florist, Teleflora Wedding Specialist, Redbook Master Florist. Also, Judy was a designer for Tournament of Roses Parade with Fiesta Parade Floats of Pasadena, CA and a designer for Society of American Florist Congressional Action Days each year on Capitol Hill. She was on design teams for the Presidential Inaugurations of Presidents Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Sr., William Clinton, and George W. Bush in Washington, DC. Judy was inducted into Who's Who in Professional Women and Entrepreneur’s; Designer for many professional groups and charities over the years. She was a server at Mountain Gate Family Restaurant for over 20 years. She has touched many young people's lives and families in the community of Thurmont. Family will receive friends and family on Monday, November 11th & Tuesday, November 12th from 2-4 and 6-9 PM at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 104 East Main Street, Thurmont, MD 21788. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Kelly Crenshaw officiating.
