Judith Ann Tobler, 49, of Ijamsville, died on Sunday, March 29, 2011, at home. She was the wife of Rondal D. Tobler, her husband of 22 years.
Born on September 23, 1961, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Frederick W. Cassell of Denton, Texas and Elizabeth Ann Johnson Cassell of Salt Lake City, Utah. Judy was a 1983 graduate of Occidental College in Los Angeles, with a degree in Music. A stay at home mom, she was a former IT consultant. Judy volunteered at Urbana Elementary School and Urbana Middle School, and she was instrumental in creating Forever In Our Hearts, a student service organization formed in response to domestic violence.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her daughter, Katharine Elizabeth Tobler of Ijamsville. She is also survived by her sister, Susan Kaelin of Salt Lake City, Utah, and her brother, John Cassell of Denver, Colorado.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 5, at the Frederick Presbyterian Church, 115 W. Second Street, Frederick, with her father, Dr. Frederick W. Cassell, officiating.
