Miss Judith Ann Oliver, of Emmitsburg, MD., died Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Kline Hospice House.
Born March 6, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow W., and Marian J. Kocab Oliver.
Miss Oliver retired, after many years of service as Professor of English Literature at the Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA. She also wrote several books recounting the history of the area.
She is survived by her sister Marilyn Steigerwald and husband Thomas, nephews William Steigerwald, Danny Tran, Ty Mullen and Mike Russo, nieces Patricia Mullen, Kathy Russo and Mary Steigerwald, great niece Lyndsey Mullen and great nephew Matthew Russo. She was preceded in death by her brother James R. Oliver.
A Memorial Mass, for the repose of her soul, will be celebrated at St. Anthony Shrine Parish, 16150 St. Anthony Road, Emmitsburg on Saturday, August 30 at 2:00pm with Father Lawrence Donohoo as celebrant.
Interment private.
