Judith D. Gladhill

Judith D. Gladhill, 82, of Ijamsville, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Kline Hospice in Mount Airy, MD. She was the beloved wife of the late John David Gladhill, Sr. and the mother of the late John “Johnny” David Gladhill, Jr.

Born on April 9, 1941, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles Leslie and Pearl (Brightwell) Powell.

She graduated  from Walkersville High School in 1959.  She was a homemaker.  She loved playing sports growing up, especially basketball. 

She is survived by her children , Kimberly D. Heintzelman of Hagerstown, Lisa A. Beckwith (Francis) of Damascus, Daughter-n-Law Evelyn “Susie “ Gladhill of Hagerstown and her Granddaughters Skylar and Taylor Heintzelman, Devyn and Logyn Beckwith and Alyssa and Alanna Gladhill also a bonus granddaughter Jordan Beckwith and great grandson Malakai of Damascus.  

The family will receive friends from 10-11 am on Monday, February 19, 2024, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Fred), 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD where a celebration of Judith's life journey will take place at 11 am. Rev. Sean DeLawder will officiate.  Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, MD.
