Judith D. Foltz, age 73, died Wednesday April 10, 1013 at her home after a brief illness.
Judy was born April 10, 1940 in Martinsburg, West Virginia where she lived until the family moved to Middletown, Maryland in 1950. She was the eldest of three children born to Ross and Mina Foltz.
After graduation in 1958 from Middletown High School she attended and graduated from Hood College in 1963. She received her Masters Degree in counseling from Loyola College in Baltimore.
Judy worked for many years for the Department of Juvenile Services in Baltimore, Maryland.
She loved her work and helped many children and families in her years of service. She lived in Baltimore until three years ago when she moved back to Frederick County to be closer to family.
She loved to travel worldwide and her favorite destination was the Greek islands. She also enjoyed several “family cruises” prior to failing health.
Judy is survived by a sister, Mary Ann Foltz of Frederick, two nephews, Matthew and Nathan Foltz of Hedesville, West Virginia, a niece Kendra Foltz Biegalski and family of Austin, Texas and former sister-in-law Victoria Foltz. Judy is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Kenneth F. Foltz.
