On Sunday, April 20, 2014, Juanita Irene Snider, 81, of Frederick, Md., beloved wife of Richard S. Montgomery for 19 years, passed away. She was preceded in death by Okey Snider, her first husband; and her daughter, Linda K. Brett.
Juanita was a devoted Mother to Susan E. Housley; and Grandmother to Michael R. Brett, Jr., Ryan T. Housley and Patrick W. Housley; also Great-Grandmother to Tylor B. Brett, Kamden S. Brett and Eden A. Brett. Juanita will also be deeply missed by Carrie Brett, Ron Montgomery and wife Robin, Robert Montgomery and Eric Montgomery and wife Shirene.
Juanita retired in 1994 from the Loudoun County School system where she was a Teacher’s Aide for Special Needs students; most of her career was spent at Emerick Elementary School in Purcellville, Virginia. After her retirement, Juanita purchased a house in The Villages Florida and spent her winters enjoying the warmer weather. She loved spending the winter in the Villages and some of her most joyous moments were during the Sunday services at the Church on the Square. Juanita had also been an active member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Nearsville Virginia, which is where her memorial service will be held on May 18, 2014 at 2:00.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF)-Tylor’s Team.
