Mrs. Joyce Singer, 79, of Frederick, MD passed away Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Glade Valley Nursing Home. She was the wife of Robert Singer.
Born on June 25, 1935 in Washington, D.C. she was the daughter of the late Herron and Emogene Sherrill.
Joyce attended Emmanuel Chapel in Smithsburg. Prior to her retirement she worked for the Frederick Tourism Council at the Visitor Center. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and ceramics.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children Andrew Soldano and wife Judy of Gaithersburg and their son Drew Soldano, Angie Williams and husband Scott and their children Caleb and Eli Singer of Charlestown, WV, and Thomas Singer and wife Marsha of Smithsburg; brother Dennis Sherrill of CA and sisters Jeanie Lohr of Hagerstown, MD and Valarie Trammel of Hagerstown.
A funeral service will be held at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 10AM. Pastor Jonathan Laye will officiate.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Western MD Chapters, 108 Byte Dr., Suite 103 Frederick, MD 21702.
Interment will follow at Mt. Prospect Cemetery.
