Mrs. Joyce Shapiro-Mills, 52 of Frederick passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at the Kline Hospice House following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Ronald “Ronnie” Mills.
Born October 5, 1963 in Silver Spring, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Schiper.
Joyce had a smile that could light up a room. She enjoyed trips to the beach, shopping with girlfriends but most importantly being with family, friends and especially her grandbabies.
In addition to her husband Ronnie she is survived by her daughter, Jenny Lopez Shapiro and husband Jose, her son, Kevin Shapiro, two step daughters, Ashley Smigovsky and husband Jonathan and Nicole Hayes and husband Chris, grandchildren, Aden, Gabriel, Avery, Isaiah and Elijah. She will also be remembered by her special friend, Sherry Barrick and her numerous other family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, October 22nd from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 23rd at 1:00pm with Rev. Tim May officiating.
Interment will be in Glade Cemetery, Walkersville.
