Joshua Cook

Joshua Boyd Cook, 41, of Portesrtown Road, Keedysville passed away  on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at his home.

Born on April 30, 1976,  he was the son of Boyd "Chip"  Cook,Jr.of  Boonsboro  and Tammy Cook Manning of Keedysville.

For a large part of his life, Josh lived with Donald "Donnie"Scott Chaney, who he considered like a grandfather. He worked hard to help Donnie on the large farm he took care of since Donnie's retirement as a truck driver. Josh was talented in many fields, working as an Electrician, Plumber, Crane and Fork lift operator. He was very mechanically inclined.

He was preceded in death  by  his grandparents, Boyd M. Cook, Sr.,  Patricia B. Cook, and Richard McDowell Violet.
In addition to his parents, Josh is survived by his grandmother, Rosalie Violet Jones of Martinsburg, WV; siblings, John Ryan Manning of Hagerstown, Jason Lee Manning of Martinsburg WV, Jesse Reichard Manning of Keedysville, Adam David Cook of Owings Mills, and Sarah Frances Cook, of Martinsburg, WV.; aunts, Lisa Michelle Ausherman, Kim Renee Gordon, Nancy Flook Haines, Debbie Cook Boyd, Sandra Kowall Janowski, Carol Cook Gipe ;uncle, Richard McDowell Violet;  He is also survived by numerous cousins and other family and friends, who will miss him dearly.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Md.
