Joseph O. Brashears

Mr. Joseph O. Brashears, 94 of Frederick, Maryland died Sunday, October 19, 2008 at his home. He was the husband of Vivian Stottlemeyer Brashears, his wife of 34 years.

Born December 30, 1913 in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Alice and John Brashears.

He was a member of Oak Hill Church of God. Mr. Brashears retired, after 14 yrs of service, from Mack Truck. He raised horses and collected pencil sharpeners.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Jeanette Eckard of Westminster, 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, three ste-children Susan Saunders, Sandra Eyler and Samuel Morgan. He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters, and a grandson Gary L. Eckard.

Visitation: The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 22, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m., at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD

Services: Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 23, at 1:00 p.m.
Interment Oak Hill Cemetery, Woodsboro.
