Joseph "Kenny" Kefauver

Mr. Joseph Kenneth "Kenny" Kefauver, age 98, of Frederick, died February 18, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Isabel Crum Kefauver whom he married March 15, 1942.

Born April 12, 1917 in Middletown, he was the son of the late William J. and Margaret Delauder Kefauver.

Mr. Kefauver was retired from Ft. Detrick. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Francis Scott Key American Legion Post II, Catoctin Club of Frederick, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks 684 of Frederick and the Francis Scott Key Memorial Foundation. He was a 70 year member of Columbia Lodge 58, member of the Order of Eastern Star, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, former member and past president of the Great Frederick Fair Board.

He is survived by two sons, Donald of Frederick and Robert of Lancaster, California. He was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy McElwee and three brothers, Lee, Harold and David.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Masonic Services will be held Tuesday evening beginning at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 24th at the Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick with Rev. Dr. Robert Apgar-Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
