Josephine DeLeo

Mrs. Josephine Marita DeLeo, 86, of Frederick, MD passed into eternal life on Thursday, March 10 at 9:45 pm at the home of her granddaughter, surrounded by family.

Born April 11th, 1924 in Altoona, PA, Daughter of Harry & Helen Cole. Josephine graduated from Altoona Catholic High School. She married Francis R. DeLeo on February 28, 1949. After working as a Government Secretary for many years, she became a homemake and cared for her family. She resided in Rockville Maryland. She attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockville for over 50 years. Josephine was a devout Catholic and supported many Catholic causes including EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network).
She was predeceased by her husband Francis in February of 2006.

She is survived by four children, Linda Guisti, Michael DeLeo, Lisa DeLeo and Dana Thompson, four grandchildren, Cristalle Grove, Matthew Cable, Nicole DeLeo & Seth Thompson, and 2 great-grandchildren, Maddux Grove and Karyn Ann Grove.

Friends may call at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Oppossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD on Thursday, March 17th from 6-9 pm.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 19th at 12 noon at Holy Family Catholic Church, 7321 Burkittsville Rd, Middletown, MD. Msgr Rob Jascott will be officiating. She will be interned at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
