Joseph G. May, Jr.

Mr. Joseph G. May, Jr., 68 of New Market, MD., died Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Virginia Wiles May.
Born April 12, 1941 in Frederick, MD he was the son of the late Joseph G., Sr. And Bernice Neisser May.
Mr. May was one of the founders of May's Grocery later becoming Mays' Restaurant. In recent years he worked cashiering at the restaurant. He was a member of the American Legion Post #11.
He is survived by a son Joseph G. May, III and wife Fay of New Market, stepdaughter Teresa Schultz, two grandchildren Joseph G. May IV and Curtis West, a brother Douglas May and wife Susan of Frederick, nephews Douglas May, Jr and wife Lindsey and Charles Gill and wife Leslie and mother-in-law Leona Woods.
He will also be remembered by his good friend Jack Way. He was preceded in death by a son Daniel May.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Sunday, October 18, from 2 - 5:00 p.m
Services:
A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 19, at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be private
