Joseph B {Joey} Harrell

Mr. Joseph B. Harrell, 26, of Middletown died suddenly on Friday, January 15, 2010.

Joey was born on September 7, 1983, in Silver Spring. He is the son of Edward Bennett Harrell, III and Gail Roeder Jones.

Joey was a surgical technician at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.

He was a 2001 graduate of Gov. Thomas Johnson High School where he lettered in football and lacrosse. He was passionate about music, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

He had a warm, caring personality that brought joy and laughter to the lives of his family and friends.

Surviving are his parents: Edward B. Harrell, III and wife Susan of Mechanicsville, MD and Gail R. Jones and husband Dale of Middletown; grandparents: Dr. and Mrs. John Roeder, Jr of Silver Spring and Rev. and Mrs. Steven Loan of Champlain, NY; brothers and sisters: Morgan McKay of Mechanicsville, Sean Harrell of Bushwood, MD, Karla and Shaun Henderson of LaPlata, Martin Harrell of Mechanicsville, Colleen Jones and Camille Jones both of Middletown; and four generations of extended relatives with whom he enjoyed spending time.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1-3 and 6-9 PM on Tuesday, January 19, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick where a time of remembrance will be held at both 2 and 8 PM.

Services: Interment will be private.
