Joseph Lillis

Joseph Anthony Lillis, 62, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at his home while surrounded by his family.
Born on August 16, 1950, in Jersey City, New Jersey, he is the son of Mary (Coaches) Lillis of Brick, New Jersey, and the late William P. Lillis.
Joe was a 1968 graduate from St. Peter's Preparatory School in Jersey City, and went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in History from St. Peter's College.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy Reserves.
Joe worked in management for Rollins Leasing in Delaware and New Jersey, as well as with Bowman Truck Leasing in Williamsport, Maryland, and most recently had been a consultant with IFM in Bel Air, Maryland.
He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Boonsboro.
Mr. Lillis is survived by his wife of 37 years, Susan (Campbell) Lillis; two daughters, Jennifer C. Plumadore and husband Patrick of Keedysville, Maryland and Alison C. Lillis of Hagerstown, Maryland; one sister, Mariann McConnell, and one brother William P. Lillis, both of Brick, New Jersey; and two granddaughters, Katherine E. and Caroline A. Plumadore. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by infant children Mary and Joseph Lillis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2013, at St. James Catholic Church, 121 North Main Street in Boonsboro. Rev. John J. Jicha will officiate. Burial will be held at 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum in North Arlington, New Jersey.
